About Me

Hey there, I'm Casen Davis

I've been many things these last forty years, and I expect I will be many more before I die. At one point I sold Churros at Disneyland, and at another point I rode bicycles through Upsala Sweden. Now I am a father of four living in Portland Oregon.

What I Do

I read, I learn, I accomplish. Tech has been the most stable thread in my life. I've been messing with computers for 30 years, and programming for 25.

How I Work

I prefer to work in environments where everyone has maximum agency. I'm very comfortable working from deign to DevOps, and I enjoy working with other engineers who can do the same.

Short Bio

I was born in Orange County California, and I grew up in Garden Grove. Yep, the same place Sublime was singing about. I had a paradoxically difficult, yet charmed, childhood living in a pretty rough part of town.

Growing up, I always had access to computers that my dad built from spare parts his company (Western Digital) was throwing away. I studied Computer Science and Math at Cal Poly Pomona, Studied abroad in Uppsala Sweden, and was part of the burgeoning startup scene in Los Angeles before moving to San Francisco to start my career in earnest.

Now I live in Portland Oregon, and I work from a home office that I largely built with my own two hands.
